Summer has certainly arrived in full force in Polson, MT on Flathead Lake! The valley transformed from a cool spring to summer with a heat advisory before July.
I am always amazed how quickly the lake warms up. A week ago the lake temperature was so cold it took your breath away when you jumped in (kids not included). This past weekend it was warm enough that one could actually stay in the water and enjoy it! Flathead Lake is truly an international treasure, we are blessed to be here.
The snow packs over the past 30 days or so have gone from about 90% to 50%. The lake is currently a few inches over full pool right now. With this heat, let us hope it will remain full pool for our season.
