This shockingly beautiful property has been under wraps for 40 years! Just a few miles to the nearest seasonal village, but when the sun goes down, there are no streetlights. Looking toward the east, there is no visible manmade light, just pure black sky pricked with a million diamonds! If there is a better place to view the Northern Lights in Montana, please tell me. A super location to build an off-grid wilderness mansion, an outstanding lodge or 10 to 20 dream getaways tucked into their own private, timbered retreats. Surrounded by tribal grazing land, cattle and the wild critters are your only neighbors! Two reservoirs water the animals. The first picture shown is taken from a low point on the property where timber does not block the view of a person on foot. A multiple story building could create a vast view of the jagged east side of the park. The famed Going to the Sun Highway is just below the property a couple miles. Please call to schedule an unforgettable visit! St. Mary Ridge Trail only road in or out of this area, infrequent traffic has a prescriptive easement through property. Current two track is along high spot, could be redirected according to plan. If livestock is kept, gates, cattle guards and fencing would be important to keep them on the property, currently open range. MTR 30035075
Directions to property: Property can be accessed by 4wd vehicle from Livermore Truck Trail entrance (Hwy 464 heading west), scrubbing timber! Hudson Bay entrance (Hwy 89 North to St. Mary Ridge Trail) has not been used by owner for a long time and had downed timber across it in the past. Duck Lake entrance (south side of Hwy 464, St. Mary Ridge Trail between South Shore Road and West Shore Duck Road) is the best entrance, truck and trailer could bring in heavy equipment.
